Send SMS Messages from Gmail

Another Gmail Labs feature has been added today, the ability to send SMS messages from Gmail chat. This is a feature which Google had planed to enable a few weeks ago but the development team encountered some problems. You can read more about the new feature here.

    what about Google Gmail users in India…??

    Yeah there are lots of good free phone services on the web that only seem to work with US numbers at the moment, it sucks because I have contacts overseas and only pay services seem to be available at the moment.

    I just learned about this only after reading this post. Anyway, here in the Philippines there’s a workaround for that. I use Gmail in combination with Chikka to send SMS messages.
