		<description>I too have used Thunderbird with many extensions for years and like it a lot.  Though not a true add on, MozBackup is an essential tool to backup profiles for security reasons.  It is also a very easy way to backup from one computer and restore on another providing an exact duplicate of the initial install including all messages, attachments etc.  If changing to a new computer it&#039;s perfect.

One other add on that is great for compacting all your folders on all accounts is xpunge.  It keeps the file sizes under control and can be customized to work with one or all folders within each account you have set up.</description>

		<description>Yes, I agree on that. I have several email address and I&#039;m using Mozilla Thunderbird to download all the messages from these different inboxes.

I haven&#039;t tried all the other features though - I think I should be using lightning soon, but so far I&#039;m able to manage schedules up here on my head.
